(WHTM)-- Pennsylvania State Police announced its crash and enforcement report for the 2025 New Year's holiday.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), from Dec. 31 to Jan. 2, PSP investigated 425 crashes, resulting in one death and 68 injuries, and made 254 driving under the influence arrests. Impaired driving played a role in 31 of the crashes investigated.
PSP investigated 336 crashes during last year's New Year's holiday, with five fatalities and 68 injured. Forty-seven of last year's crashes were caused by an impaired driver, one of which was fatal.

Additionally, 326 DUI arrests were made during the 2024 New Year's holiday, 72 more than 2025, per PSP.

PSP said these statistics only cover incidents investigated by state police and not incidents other law enforcement responded to.
