HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) - The Pennsylvania Lottery helps older Pennsylvanians every day, and if you want to be part of that process, you can sign up to be a witness.
The Pennsylvania Lottery openly recruits witnesses who will visit the studio and watch the drawings aired on television.
According to the Lottery, you must be 55 and older to participate as a lottery witness for two consecutive nights at the WITF studio in Harrisburg.
The witness assists in the random selection of machines and ball sets, observes the testing and transportation of machines and ball sets, participates in the live televised drawing show, and observes the securing of machines and ball sets.
On your first night as a witness, you'll participate in the selection of machines and ball sets and observe pre and post-drawing tests. On your second night, you'll appear as the on-camera witness.
To sign up you can call 717-702-8067 or send an email to RA-lot-drawing@pa.gov.
Witnesses must show up by 5 p.m. and should expect to be at the studio until no later than 7:30 p.m.
