(WHTM)-- A bill that would allow Pennsylvania students to fulfill their physical education requirements with interscholastic sports made it out of a senate committee on Tuesday.
Right now, some schools require you to take PE classes even if you participate in varsity sports.
The bill's sponsor, Senator Cris Dush, says the requirement can hold back athletes who want to take another class or study more.
The bill now heads to the full Senate for consideration.
