CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)-- A hawk was rescued by Pennsylvania State Police Troopers in Cumberland County.

Pennsylvania State Police shared on Facebook Wednesday that Troopers Williams and Rahn from the Carlisle barracks were the ones who rescued a red-tailed hawk.
The hawk was hit by a vehicle and it got stuck in the grill, PSP said. Thankfully, the two Troopers were able to free the bird, although it was injured.
The bird was then taken after it was freed by Wildlife In Need PA who are now treating the hawk.
The red-tailed hawk is one of the most familiar hawks in the United States. Migration, which is usually late fall and early spring, for the hawks far south, but there are some in the central or southern latitudes that stay, according to Audubon's website.
