(WHTM) - Pennsylvania has been hit with several cyber attacks. A York County lawmaker says she has a way to help.
Republican State Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill is co-sponsoring a bill to elevate the state's chief information officer to a cabinet-level position.
She says the move would streamline the decision-making process and better protect data that's been breached in recent years.
Phillips-Hill said, "We have lost info from the teacher mgmt system, breaches in the unemployment comp system, issues with vital stats, birth and death records, and I could go on and on and on about that."
The latest target was, of course, the Pennsylvania Court System website. There was a cyber attack on it last week and it still hasn't returned to normal.
