LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- The pilot of the plane that crashed into a parking lot in a retirement community in Lancaster County Sunday was a member of Venture Jets.

Private Pilot Matt White is an executive board member of Venture Jets, as well as a long-time aviation advocate, a company spokesperson wrote in a statement.

White was piloting a Beechcraft Bonanza, a privately owned plane, carrying four other passengers, that was being used for personal family travel, the spokesperson wrote. There were no Venture Jet employees aboard the flight.

"Venture Jets is a private aircraft charter and aviation services company founded in 1994 and based at the Lancaster Airport (LNS), in the heart of Pennsylvania," according to its website. "With a management team possessing over 30 years of experience in the field, we back every decision with a wealth of knowledge and a strong desire to surpass industry standards."

White is a long-time aviation advocate, and also an Executive Board Member of Venture Jets, the spokesperson wrote.

There were no fatalities from the crash. The five people on board were taken to the hospital, and three were later transferred to Lehigh Valley Health Network’s burn center.

The Federal Aviation Administration along with the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash, which could take up to a year to complete.
