MIFFLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Lewistown Police Department has announced that one person was shot at least twice after a domestic dispute.
According to a Facebook post, on Sunday, Jan. 28 the Lewistown Police Department responded to the area of 500 West Fourth Street for a report of shots being fired after an argument. Officers arrived to find one person had sustained at least two gunshot wounds and was transported by EMS.
An investigation indicated that the person who was shot had gotten into an argument with another person and was armed with a knife. Details about the incident are limited at this time.
Those involved in the shooting were cooperative, according to police. They added that this incident was an isolated event and there was no risk to the public.
Lewistown Police Department added that the Mifflin County Regional Police Department, Granville Township Police Department and the Pennsylvania State Police Forensic Services Unit all insisted in the investigation.
