HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — A new bill introduced in Pennsylvania would prepare high schools to respond to overdoses.
House Bill 803 was introduced by Democratic State Representative Robert Freeman from Northampton.
The bill would have the State Department of Education consult with the State Department of Health to develop policies and procedures.
It would require high schools to provide and maintain Narcan onsite in each public school facility.
The bill is expected to be referred to the House Education Committee for consideration.
