PHILADELPHIA COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- The City of Philadelphia is preparing for crowds as the Super Bowl comes to a close.
Roads are being closed in Center City, Northeast Philadelphia, and South Philadelphia according to the city Office of Emergency Management.
The Broad Street offramps from I-676 in Center City, 12th Street to 16th Street, Lombard Street to Spring Garden Street, Cottman Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia, and Broad Street and Oregon Avenue in South Philadelphia are all closed.
The Office of Emergency Management says law enforcement support, traffic control, and EMS will be set up in those areas and the public should expect congestion.
Firefighters will also be staged at various locations in Center City.
"Be mindful of the critical life-safety work of our first responders by creating space for them to operate emergency vehicles in the streets or by allowing room for them to work during a response," the Office of Emergency Management said. "Please use extreme caution traveling and watch for pedestrian traffic."
Public transit schedules are also being adjusted.
