PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (WHTM) -- Two Pennsylvania men will spend life in a federal prison for their role in a violent drug trafficking organization.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said Dewayne Quinones, 30, and Mayco Alvarez-Jackson, 27, both of Reading, were sentenced to life in prison for murder, kidnapping, and drug crimes, among others.

The two were members of the "Trinidad" drug trafficking organizations, a group authorities say was responsible for numerous homicides, kidnapping, and more, including a quadruple homicide in January 2018.

“The Trinidad organization thoroughly terrorized the Reading area for years,” said U.S. Attorney Jacqueline C. Romero. “Through remorseless violence they controlled their turf, to keep pushing their poison and making their money. As this case shows, my office, the FBI, and our local law enforcement partners will never cede control of our communities to violent drug gangs. We’ll continue to work on the public’s behalf to lock up these dangerous offenders who shatter folks’ sense of security and quality of life.”

The two men, plus ringleader Jesus Feliciano-Trinidad, were convicted in a federal trial last December.

In total, fifteen men were charged in connection with the organization.
