(WHTM) — Two additional suspects who are allegedly linked to the Coatesville bus shooting incident have been arrested.
According to the Chester County District Attorney’s Office and the Coatesville City Police Department, authorities arrested 20-year-old Jose Medina and 17-year-old Gabriel Johnson, both of Coatesville, for their involvement in the shooting of a Coatesville Area School District school bus on October 10.
The post says the defendants have been charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Conspiracy, and other related charges. Johnson, a minor, has been charged as an adult. Jaki White-Marshall, 18, was previously charged shortly after the shooting.
"This is not the end of our investigation," said District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe. "We will continue to work towards arresting and convicting everyone involved in shooting at this school bus."
According to the criminal complaints filed by the Chester County Detectives and Coatesville City Police, on October 10 at approximately 2:29 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of Hope Avenue and Charles Street for reports of shots fired at a school bus. The post says detectives quickly uncovered surveillance footage of the shooting that depicted four males walking through the intersection—two began shooting down the street and struck the bus. After an extensive investigation, law enforcement determined that Johnson fired six shots at the school bus and that Medina was one of the individuals with Johnson during the shooting.
The shooting remains under investigation. If you have information about this case, contact the Chester County Detectives at 610-344-6866 or the Coatesville City Police Department at 610-384-2300.
