Republican Dave McCormick is the projected winner of Pennsylvania's United States Senate race against incumbent Democrat Bob Casey, but thousands of provisional ballots have yet to be counted.
Now, McCormick has filed a lawsuit in connection with those ballots.
The suit is asking the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia to allow McCormick to make global challenges to large groups of provisional ballots that share the same deficiencies including missing signatures or lack of a secrecy envelope.
The Philadelphia Board of Elections is currently examining 15,000 to 20,000 provisional ballots.
Casey has refused to concede the race.
