(WHTM) - The Justice Department says it plans to monitor the polls in three Pennsylvania counties, Allegheny, Luzerne, and Philadelphia, to ensure compliance with federal voting rights laws on Election Day.
The three Pennsylvania counties are among 86 jurisdictions that will be monitored for compliance with federal laws.
Those monitoring will include personnel from the Civil Rights Division, U.S. Attorney's Offices, the Office of Personnel Management, and other department divisions.

The Justice Department says it regularly deploys its staff to monitor for compliance with federal civil rights laws in elections in communities all across the country.
