HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to hold her first campaign rally in Harrisburg this week.

According to the event website, Harris will be in the area on Wednesday, October 30.

The location of the event has not been formally announced. Harris was previously scheduled to campaign in Central Pennsylvania earlier this month but canceled the event to tour states impacted by Hurricane Helene.

Harris and her running mate Tim Walz have been crisscrossing the critical battleground state where 19 electoral votes could swing the presidential election. Walz has held events in Central Pennsylvania including in Harrisburg, Reading, and York. Harris' husband Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff was in Harrisburg over the weekend while Harris campaigned in Philadelphia on Sunday night.

Former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to campaign for Harris in western Pennsylvania this week.

Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance have repeatedly visited the state heading into the election. Trump himself has held three rallies in Harrisburg this year and is scheduled to rally in Allentown on Tuesday.

The last day to request a mail-in or absentee ballot is October 29, and ballots must be returned to your county Board of Election by 8 p.m. on Election Day, November 5. Pennsylvania's voter registration date has now passed.
