(WHTM)-- Feeling the Christmas spirit early or looking for something fun to do this holiday season? These holiday train rides in Pennsylvania are the perfect way to celebrate the holidays.
Strasburg Rail Road
Strasburg Rail Road in Lancaster County has hosted Christmas train rides for 65 years. They offer a variety of rides to choose from, including Santa's Paradise Express, Night Before Christmas Train, and Santa Claus Limited. All three rides last $45 minutes and are varying prices. Christmas rides will last from November through December.
New Hope Railroad
New Hope Railroad in Bucks County offers various themed train rides. Those looking for Christmas trains can embark on a "magical journey" with Santa's Steam Train Ride and Santa's North Pole Express Train. The rides are a 60-minute round trip. Tickets can be purchased at the station or reserved online.
Northern Central Railway
The Northern Central Railway of York offers holiday excursions for all ages to enjoy. Every holiday season, the train is decorated from front to back for the season. Children have the opportunity to visit with Santa and have their picture taken on the Santa Express train or meet Santa's workers on the Christmas Elves Express. Christmas trains will be open on weekends starting Dec. 7.
Middletown & Hummelstown Railroad
Middletown & Hummelstown Railroad in Lancaster County is hosting a Santa's Surprise Train and a Polar Express Train with Santa this holiday season. Rides begin Nov. 29 and children under the age of 12 will get a surprise gift from Santa himself.
West Chester Railroad
West Chester Railroad's Santa's Express is a 75-minute trip through Chester Creek Valley, where Santa visits all the passengers. Passengers can enjoy life entertainment on board, and drinks are available for purchase. The Train starts operations on Nov. 23 and will run through Dec. 22. West Chester Railroad also offers a Christmas Tree Train where riders are supplied hand saws and taken to Wiggins Tree Farm.
