(WHTM) -- A Pennsylvania man and his brother were arrested Thursday for their involvement in the attack at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, federal officials said.

Philip Walker, 52, of Delaware County and his brother David Walker, 49, of New Jersey, allegedly assaulted a person and took their photography equipment after they entered the U.S. Capitol Rotunda, the Department of Justice said in a news release.

Surveillance video captured the two entering the building, and assaulting someone at the top of the East Rotunda stairs. When the person tried to get the equipment that Philip took, they were pushed, and the brothers took off, going down the stairs, the DOJ said

After the duo exited the building, they met with the alleged victim again and David got into a physical confrontation with them, the DOJ said.

FBI agents arrested the brothers at their homes, and they will make their appearance in Pennsylvania and New Jersey court.

Multiple felony charges were filed against the brothers such as federal robbery, assault with the intent to commit a felony and destruction of property.

They also face a list of misdemeanor charges such as assault by striking, beating, and wounding, entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building or grounds, act of violence in the Capitol grounds or buildings, and parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building.

Since Jan. 6, 2021, over 1,500 people in almost all 50 states have been charged for the breach of the U.S. Capitol that took place that day.
