PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (WHTM) - A throwing knife was found in a bag at Philadelphia International Airport.
The Transportation Security Agency says officers recently found the large, multi-colored throwing knife in a traveler's carry-on items.
"It may be pretty, but it's still prohibited," said TSA Spokesperson Lisa Farbstein. "It's best to pack knives in checked bags, not carry-on bags."

According to the TSA, travelers can check knives, pocket knives, Swiss Army knives, and utility knives in their checked bags. Utensil knives that are plastic or round-bladed butter knives can be taken in your carry-on.
When in doubt, the TSA says you can check on their website before you travel.
