PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WKBN)- The Pittsburgh International Airport has announced that passengers should arrive at the airport exceptionally early for travel between 5 a.m. -8 a.m.

In a Facebook post, the airport advised that passengers should arrive 2.5-3 hours before their early morning flight to accommodate longer ticketing and security lines.

The airport announced that they are experiencing record-breaking crowds this summer, which means longer than usual TSA security lines. The airport is working with TSA to streamline the security process.

The airport said that the new terminal will offer 11 TSA lanes and a dedicated family lane when it is released in 2025. For more information about the new terminal, click here.
