YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)-- A deer decided to take a dip into someone's pool in York County Friday, which goes to show even animals need a break from the heat.
A Pennsylvania Game Warden responded to a home in Warrington Township after getting a call about a distressed dear, the Pennsylvania Game Commission said in a Facebook post.
The deer was in an inground pool, swimming "laps" when the warden arrived, the post says. The warden though was able to use his "quick thinking" to get the deer out of the water and back into the woods.
"Warden Murphy used some quick thinking and a catch pole to get the deer out pool," the post reads. "After assessing the doe for injuries, she was released unharmed into a nearby woods to recover."
