HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) - Spring is in the air at UPMC Magee-Women's Hospital in Harrisburg, and babies were dressed for the occasion.
The hospital is celebrating Mother's Day, with newborns sporting pastel onsies and floral hats.
Meanwhile, a first-time mom, whose husband is deployed on an aircraft carrier in the Pacific, was still able to include him in the birthing process.
"They let him have a phone call and it just so happened that he called while I was like pushing during the delivery and it was like a little bit and me pushing and he was able to stay on the phone the whole time until she got here," Emily Orozco, said. "And so he was able to hear over the phone her first crying and like everything. It was really awesome."
"He went quiet and I was like, 'are you still there? Are you crying?'" Orozco added. "And he was like, Yeah, I've been crying for a long time now."
She's lives in San Diego now but came back to the Midstate to have her child, Mia, near family.
