(WHTM)-- A Pennsylvania man is accused of making threatening statements toward FBI officers for years, according to the Department of Justice.
Thomas Green, 33, of Danville, was upset that the FBI wasn't investigating criminal conduct that he was reporting so he threatened to assault and kill officers, the Department of Justice alleged.
According to the DOJ, Green made the threats during calls to FBI field offices across the county. In August 2022 he allegedly started threatening to murder and assault agents and in calls made to offices in Miami, Green said he knew about the murder of two officers and was quoted saying "can happen again" if they did not "act," the DOJ says.
A federal grand jury indicted Green this week on charges of influencing federal officials by threat and interstate communications with a threat, according to the DOJ.
If found guilty, Green faces a maximum imprisonment of 10 years followed by a term of supervised release. The FBI is continuing their investigation, the DOJ says.
